The 2016 Honda Accord is the ninth generation Accord that first came out in 2013 and ended with the 2017 model. Although not redesigned, Honda gave 2016 some little refreshments, which followed through to the 2017 model. The 2016 Honda Accord has six trim levels: LX, LX-S, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring. The base level is the LX sedan and the LX-S coupe, and both cars come standard with a rearview camera, an infotainment screen, a CD player, a USB input, Bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, cruise control, alloy wheels. These standard features make the base models a great buy.

The Honda Accord Sport, only available in sedan, features a slight bump in horsepower. The Accord EX adds a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Andriod Auto, Satellite Radio, Push-Button start, a blind spot camera, and a moonroof.

The Accord EX-L 2016 adds leather upholstery and heated front seats. It’s also the first trim available with a V6 engine and satellite navigation. The Accord Touring, on the other hand, is only available in V6. It adds navigation, rain-sensing windshield wipers, parking sensors, heated rear seats, and the Honda Sensing suite of active safety features. However, the Honda Sensing is optional in all other trims.

In 2016, the 2016 Honda Accord(coupe and sedan) was the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety 2016 Top Safety Pick+.

All the models of the 2016 Accords come standard with a multi-angle rearview camera. Parking sensors are available, and the Honda LaneWatch that uses the infotainment screen to display a live video of the passenger-side blind spot is also standard. All the other active safety features are found in the Honda Sensing package, and it’s all available in all the trims. The Honda Sensing includes forward collision warning with brake assist, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist.

Price Of The 2016 Honda Accord In Nigeria

When the 2016 Accord first launched, the starting price was $22,925 for the LX sedan to $35,945 for the Touring coupe. That’s about ₦16,620,625 to ₦26,060,125 respectively. However, brand new models are difficult to find today, but you will find the Tokunbo and Nigeria used models. The starting price for the cheapest 2016 Accord is ₦5,000,000 and goes up to ₦10,000,000.

Amongst the ninth generation Accord, the 2016 and the 2017 Accord are the best in the generation. So, the car is still a great option to purchase even in 2022.
