Former France defender, Patrice Evra has snubbed the Le Blues and picked Brazil as the favourites to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Evra said that Brazil’s national team plays for fun, adding that their forward, Neymar wants to put the team on his shoulder during the competition in Qatar.
Brazil are in Group C at the World Cup in Qatar and will play against the likes of Serbia, Cameroon and Switzerland.
“Brazil is still my favourite [to win the World Cup]. I think Neymar will surprise a lot of people. He reminds me a lot of Ronaldinho,” Evra, a former Manchester United vice-captain, told Betfair.
“They don’t play to be the best in the world. They play for fun and to entertain. I see a Neymar this year that wants to put this team on his shoulders.
“That is why they are my favourite, along with the squad depth.”
