Asia Susan Irving, known as Asia Irving, is a well-known American fashion designer, socialite, and model. She was born on January 12, 1991, in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Asia is the sister of Kyrie Irving, the famous NBA player. Their father, Drederick Irving, was also a professional basketball player and coach.
Asia had a tragic early life as her mother, Elizabeth Irving, passed away when she was just five years old due to an illness called Drug-induced sepsis syndrome. Her father, Drederick, raised Asia with the help of her aunts after her mother’s death.
She pursued her education and graduated from Temple University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Later, she earned her associate of arts degree in fashion merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Asia started her career as a makeup artist for M.A.C. Cosmetics in California when she was 23. However, she eventually transitioned into a costume designer, designing clothes for her brother Kyrie and other athletes like Skylar Diggins, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Sue Bird, and Megan Rapinoe. Her work has been featured in renowned publications such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Official, InStyle, and Sports Illustrated.
In addition to her work in costume design, Asia also ventured into opening children’s clothing boutiques named Elizabeth Smith in Northeast Ohio and New Jersey, carrying the brand Crib Rock Couture. She is also co-owner of the clothing boutique named Sydney, which has stores in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City, along with a pop-up store in the Hamptons.
In 2018, Asia released a clothing line called “90s x Purpose,” which features nostalgic 90’s inspired t-shirts with cartoons.
As for her personal life, there is no information about her dating history, and she is possibly single at the time of writing.
Asia Irving’s estimated net worth is around $1.5 million, earned through her successful fashion designing career.
She is active on social media, particularly on Instagram, where she has gained more than 80,000 followers. She often shares pictures of her brother Kyrie, showing her support for his basketball career.
