The Federal Government has blamed the strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as the reason for not disbursing education grants to university students across the country.

The Permanent secretary of the ministry of education, Andrew Adejo, during the 2022 World Teachers Day press briefing held in Abuja said the ongoing strike hindered the government from paying education students’ their bursary as earlier promised by President Muhammadu Buhari.
