NSUK-ASUU condemns school management for resumption directives
The Nasarawa State University chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, has condemned the university management for issuing resumption directives for academic activities while lecturers are still on strike.
The branch’s chairman, Dr Samuel Alu, during an address to newsmen on Friday, September 30, described the management’s directive as reckless and a betrayal, and vowed that the lecturers would not be forced to return to the classrooms against their wish.
He accused the school management of trying to sabotage their struggle with threats, blackmail and propaganda adding that they are fully prepared to face them squarely.
Alu reiterated NSUK-ASUU’s commitment to seeing the industrial action to the end in compliance with directives from the national body.
