Truman Scholar and obtained a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 1999.

Stacey Abrams Career:

Abrams began her political involvement early, working for a congressional campaign while still in high school. She later worked as a speechwriter after editing a campaign speech. During college, she interned in the child services division of the Atlanta mayor’s office and also protested against the presence of the Confederate battle flag on the Georgia state flag. After earning her law degree, Abrams worked as a tax lawyer at a law firm in Atlanta, focusing on tax-exempt organizations, healthcare, and public finance. She co-founded NOW Corp., a financial services company, and held the position of senior vice president. Additionally, Abrams served as the CEO of Sage Works, a reputable legal consulting company.
