At the age of 15, Naeto C became his mentor. In 2009, he signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) and co-wrote the song “Omoge You Too Much” for Banky W’s album.

Wizkid’s debut album, “Superstar,” released in 2011, contained hit singles like “Don’t Dull” and “Holla at Your Boy,” catapulting him to stardom in Nigeria. He continued to achieve success with his self-titled album “Ayo” in 2014, which featured the popular track “Jaiye Jaiye.” After his contract with E.M.E ended, he collaborated with Drake on “One Dance,” leading to global recognition and a multi-album deal with RCA Records in 2017.
