AAU refutes claim on purported hostel Accomodation fee increment

The attention of the Ambrose Alli University Management has been drawn to a memo Purportedly released by her increasing hostel accommodation bed spaces fees in the University.

For the avoidance of doubt, the document now in public space was not signed and could not have been released by the University Management. A close look would also reveal that the memo was not addressed to students but to the Acting Vice Chancellor who did not in any way confirm the approval or otherwise of the increases. It remains the desire of Management to engage well-meaning representatives of students in the days ahead to work out feasible and acceptable adjustments in hostel accommodation fees which have become expedient.

Students are, therefore, advised to disregard the purported increase in the hostel accommodation fees and go about their normal academic business.

Meanwhile, all students still in the hostels in deference to Management directive on the vacation of Halls of Residence, dated Thursday, 18th August, 2022 that student should vacate the Halls on or before Saturday, August, 27th 2022 are advised to vacate the Hostels forthwith.

It is the expectation of the University Management that all students concerned will abide by this directive unfailingly. However, all students from Departments that have not concluded their 2020/2021 session second semester examinations and who are legitimate occupants Of the hostels will be transferred to a single hostel to pave way for the renovation of all hostels in the University.
