A number of Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) are offered to students from low-income countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

Applicants must be nationals of countries who receive official development assistance from the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

Application Timeline: 

1) You must make an application to the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course through UCAS by 15 October 2022, and be successful in gaining a place.

2) Details on how to apply for a scholarship for 2023 entry will be made available on this page in January 2023.

3) For 2023 entry applicants who apply by the 8 February 2023 scholarship deadline, the selection process will be undertaken in March 2023.

4) Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application in April 2023.

Eligible Fields Of Study: All subjects offered at the University of Oxford except Medicine

Number Of Awardees: Around 2-3 per year

Value Of Award: Course fees, a grant for living costs and one return air fare per year 

Duration Of Award: 3-4 years, depending on course length

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:

  • be citizens of the above mentioned countries
  • have applied for or applying to University of Oxford
  • have good academic grades
  • be proficient in English Language

Application Process: Interested applicants must make an application to the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course through UCAS by 15 October 2022, and be successful in gaining a place.

You also need to complete a separate scholarship application form and arrange for a reference to be submitted on your behalf (these documents will be available from this page from January 2023
