The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology has implemented the directive of the University Management by setting up an Open Educational Repository which has been a core demand of NUC for Nigerian Universities.

The OER is a portal that contains Open educational resources, like open textbooks, Course Lecture Materials, Multimedia Data, Research Data and Policies, Supplementary Materials including past examination questions etc. OERs are used to enhance learning either at minimal or no cost depending on the services that are being rendered over the OER portal with a handshake between the ICT and the University Library.
